Method and provenance

Source: LUMIERE longitudinal glioblastoma dataset (Suter et al., Scientific Data 9:768, 2022), Patient-067. Segmentation: DeepBraTumIA. Response labels: expert RANO ratings supplied with the dataset.
Fixed reference view. The scans were acquired at different slice positions and angles, so a lesion can look larger or smaller on screen while its true volume moves the other way. This view holds one reference slice (week 13) fixed and scales each compartment's outline by the cube root of its measured 3-D volume ratio, so on-screen change tracks true volume. It is a normalized visualization, not a registered MRI.
Native scans. The acquired slice at each visit with its automated outlines; between visits the images cross-fade.
Between scans. Volumes follow shape-preserving cubic (PCHIP) interpolation through the measured values, so the curve never overshoots the data. These frames are estimates; no additional scans are implied.
Playback runs in proportion to real elapsed time, with a short hold at each scan so that same-day pre- and post-operative scans are both visible.
